The Cable Wakeboard European Championships will be held from October 17th to 19th at the new Sukay Park Rixen Cableway in Bursa, Turkey.

The team who are sponsored by Black & White, Relentless Energy, and UK Sport will be leaving on Tuesday and we wish them the best of luck

The deadline of 31st October for the Lascelles Memorial Grant applications is approaching

Purpose of the Fund:
To assist highly promising young athletes from any recognized sporting division of British Water Ski to win medals at European and World Championships.

Outline Criteria – Are You?
• Under 18 as of 1st January 2009.
• An active competitor and licence holder in a recognized sports division of British Water Ski.
• Active in a division that has EAME (European) and World Championships.
• On the way up – and by that we mean improving and nearing the top of your age category.
• Talented and committed.
• A British Citizen.

The 1st International Cable Wakeboard Seminar was held at JBSKI - Thorpe last weekend and we are pleased to announce that we have the following newly qualified judges

3 International Level 2 Judges

2 National Level 1 Judges

4 National Level 2 Judges

Well done to all of the participants and many thanks to Tibor Althans and George Newell both International Level 1 Judges/Instructors for making the weekend so much fun!

Qualified judges make a difference to our sport whether they are setting up a small club competition, judging at the National Championships or better still judging at an International Competition.

If you are interested in becoming a judge or you are a rider who would like to know more about how you are judged then join the next seminar which will be held in the Spring of 2009.
